Jiugui Liquor Traditional Brewing Area rated as provincial industrial heritage

7 places including the traditional fragrant Jiugui liquor brewing area made the list of the first batch of industrial heritage of Hunan Province.

Heritage value, protection status and management level are three evaluation indicators. In the old factory area of the Jiugui Liquor Ecological Industrial Park, there are still industrial relics such as the first and second brewing workshops, old liquor warehouses and koji making workshops. Among them, the three-eye spring water is still used as water for brewing Jiugui liquor. It’s worth mentioning that the Tingjiu Park, Tingjiu Hall and Siyuan Pavilion in the industrial park were designed by Huang Yongyu, an art master and chief designer of the Jiugui Liquor brand.

The colorful paintings of flowers, birds and figures on the eaves reflect the traditional customs and primitive worship of the witchcraft and exorcism culture in Xiangxi, with high cultural and artistic value. The traditional Jiugui liquor brewing area has preserved the early production prototype of the Chinese liquor industry, and displayed the original industrial aesthetics. It’s also the place where Jiugui Liquor has developed rapidly and the fragrant technology developed.

The proper preservation of these industrial heritage buildings has contributed to the recognition of the provincial industrial heritage this time.
